Idroelettrica fire safety for Leroy Merlin's Italian stores

REQUIREMENT
The continuous evolution of the group, which is leading to the opening of numerous new stores, has meant that a manufacturer was sought to provide the fire-fighting pumping system to service the new store within the PARCO COMMERCIAL CASAMASSIMA Shopping Mall in the province of Bari

IDROELETTRICA’S PROPOSAL

After careful analysis of the customer's needs, a pressurisation system for fire-fighting purposes was proposed, made according to the standards described above, consisting of no.°3 modules with a motor-pump and°1 Electric Pump Pilot, where two pumps operate simultaneously, guaranteeing the required flow rate, while one acts as water storage. The motor-pumps are powered by no.°3 diesel tanks with a capacity of 350 l/each complete with collection tank and loading pump. An electrical panel has also been provided for the repetition of alarms installed in a manned room that allows the remote verification of any anomalies of the fire-fighting unit.

THE RESULT
The solution proposed by Idroelettrica has represented for the customer the best option available on the market. The main advantages deriving from this choice are the ease of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, reduced dimensions in compliance with the regulations, remote alarms that are transmitted to a permanently manned station, to allow immediate intervention in case of need.
