REQUIREMENT
With the increase in production, a direct consequence of the constant growth of the group in recent years, it has become necessary to expand the premises used for the management and storage of materials, as well as the expansion of the laboratories, through the acquisition of new plants and consequent modernisation, in which to install an efficient fire-fighting protection system, already tested by the associated GearChem, to protect the safety of workers and the management of any risks related to the chemical products used, making use in both cases of Idroelettrica for technical and commercial support dedicated to the control of the sizing of the fire.fighting protection systems in full compliance with the main sector and safety standards.

IDROELETTRICA’S PROPOSAL
Idroelettrica S.p.A. in collaboration with the designer, after analysing the specific technical requirements of the sector in which the company operates (chemical sector, part of the list of companies at significant risk of accident) proposed as the best possible solution to protect the entire building,  the FIREBLOCK system,  a water supply system for outdoor fire-fighting systems that consists of two main elements: a FIREBOX module containing a fire pressurisation unit UNI EN 12845 and an outdoor water supply tank. The two components are connected through a robust metal frame equipped with gaskets, the pipes all develop inside the FIREBOX, thus avoiding any possible problem related to frost.
